 Easy Drop Sand Tarts Recipe 

Whip up a batch of these classic Drop Sand Tarts— crisp, buttery cookies with a hefty sprinkle of cinnamon, sugar, and nuts. These cookies are quick and easy to make - great for the holidays or parties and even just regular old days!


Drop Sand Tarts



Ingredients 

  • 2 cups sugar.
  • 1½ cups butter, softened.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour.
  • Cinnamon and sugar, for sprinkling.
  • Nuts, chopped (optional, for topping).


Instructions 

  1. In a big bowl, mix butter and sugar until they turn light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each.
  2. Combine Flour: Gradually add in flour until well combined and the dough is smooth.
  3. Drop teaspoon-sized mounds of dough on cookie sheets, leaving some space between each one.
  4. Top with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon Top with chopped nuts or your favorite toppings.
  5. Bake at 325°F for about 14 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  6. Allow cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
